A meeting room people actually use

The minute that decides everything

The fate of a room is settled in the first minute of use. If the person finds the right cable, presses one button and sees their screen appear, the room will be used. If they have to pick a source from a menu, hunt for a remote or call someone, the room will be avoided and meetings will happen elsewhere. Every technical decision we take follows from that minute, including the ones that remove requested features.

Standardise rather than perfect one room

In a company with ten different rooms, every meeting starts with a period of adjustment. Making all ten identical, even with more modest equipment, produces a bigger gain than one very well equipped room. People stop booking the same room out of habit, support gets fewer calls, and training happens once for the whole estate.
